Cleaner – Durham

Salary : £9.34 – £10.36/hour
You will be working as a cleaner with one of the world’s biggest brands. Training and ongoing support is included for you and you’ll love being a cleaner in this large warehouse – with fantastic transport links, free parking and one of the best canteens I’ve enjoyed with my clients – there is great value homemade food served all day and free hot and cold drinks. The site is in Bowburn , around 20 minutes on public transport from Durham Centre.
Hours and payrate:
Nights 7pm – 7am 4 on 4 off with an hour unpaid break (£10.36ph)
OR
Days 7am – 7pm 4 on 4 off with an hour unpaid break (£9.34ph)
What is the site like?
It is a brand new site with cutting edge technology and fantastic facilities. They have a fantastic canteen with great value home made hot food ,sandwiches and desserts as well as plenty of fridges and microwaves plus drinks machines where you can get a free hot drink or free cold drink! There are a number of break rooms around the site with fridges , microwaves , free drinks machines and a quiet area to relax on your break. They have a high number of lockers around site to safely store your personal belongings as well as a lovely picnic area to enjoy the sunshine (weather permitting). There are also a number of water machines on the shop floor where you can refill your bottle or cup at any time. There is also more than enough free parking spaces as well as bike rails and sheds should you wish to cycle to work.
The management team are extremely warm , welcoming and friendly and they genuinely treat their staff very well and go above and beyond to look after them . We have had a number of candidates start working here and they are really enjoying it and said its a great place to work! These candidates have also gone permanent with the company and the managers are looking for more reliable hard working people to join their team as soon as possible
The job role?
The building is across 3 floors and is divided into different zones where you would be responsible for your own zone on your shift which may include duties such as clearing cardboard , cleaning toilets , using the floor machines to keep the floor clean and free of debris. But don't worry you will buddied up with an experienced team member for atleast the first week or two until you are familiar with the building and layout.
The role itself is general cleaning of the whole building working as part of the on site cleaning team carrying out touch point cleaning and general day to day up keep. The shifts are 4 on 4 off so you enjoy a well earned break after your 4 day shift pattern.
