COMMERCIAL EXECUTIVE
The Purpose
To support the Commercial Manager in all aspects of day-to-day tasks including all purchasing, invoice management, cost control, stock management, benchmarking, operational analysis, commercial reporting, the administration of the purchasing data and any relevant ad-hoc tasks set by the Commercial Manager.
The Role
Provides support to the Commercial team (Catering) with preparation of detailed, timely management information for the use by operational heads.
Support the Commercial Manager in establishing new departmental policies and procedures.
To liaise with Group IT in the implementation and maintenance of key operational software and hardware tools (e.g., POS terminals, stock management system, digital signage etc.)
Interpreting key performance indicators including those relating to the management of costs.
Assists the team in generating reports and seeking information to ensure procurement decisions are made.
To act with integrity and professionalism in line with MU values.
Support in effective procurement and understand the procurement process.
Take responsibility for personal development.
To undertake any other duty or task as reasonably assigned by the Venue management team.
The Person
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively build relationships and work within a team.
Experience working in high pressured environments.
A proven track record of possessing high standards in the provision of service to customers and internal users.
Standards and quality driven.
Previous experience of working with an EPOS System would be a key advantage.
Experience within the catering field would be a key advantage.
Strong competency across Microsoft packages, particularly Microsoft Excel.
A commitment to driving forwards continuous improvement in their working environment.
