The Role:
As our Commercial Manager (Maternity Cover), you will play a pivotal role in driving their commercial strategy and ensuring the continued growth and success of rthe business. Working closely with the senior management team, you will have the opportunity to shape our sales and marketing efforts and contribute to the achievement of our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Administration of all day-to-day Suppliers and Customer orders, haulage invoices, haulage POD, using appropriate business software – raising any queries or anomalies – ensuring swift resolution of any queries
* Co-ordinate imported customers and supplier and associated paperwork.
* Responsible for proactive dialogue with haulers on all aspects of produce movement
* Prepare industrial bulk, frozen and prepared food purchase orders ready for final approval.
* Liaising with customers and suppliers
Your Background to date:
* Proven experience in a similar commercial management role within the agriculture or food processing industry.
* Ideally a strong knowledge of the vegetable market, including trends, pricing dynamics, and customer requirements.
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships.
* Proficiency in using CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant business tools.
