About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled HGV Body Builder / Fabricator to join our team. This role involves constructing and repairing commercial vehicle bodies, working with various materials, and ensuring high-quality finishes. If you have experience in fabrication, welding, and vehicle bodywork, this is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a growing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Body Construction: Build Beavertail, Platform, Curtain Side, and Drop Side vehicle bodies.
HGV Repairs: Carry out chassis and body repairs on commercial vehicles.
Fabrication & Fitting: Cut, grind, and fit components with precision.
Metalwork: Work with steel, aluminum, and other materials.
Panel Repairs: Repair GRP and lightweight panels.
Vehicle Preparation: Prepare vehicles for refurbishment and modifications.
Power Tools & Working at Heights: Safely use power tools and occasionally work from ladders.
Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and correct PPE usage.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in vehicle body construction, fabrication, or welding (preferred)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Comfortable working with various materials and tools
A proactive, hands-on approach with attention to detail
