Commis Chef
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £11.50 – £12.45/hour
We are recruiting a Commis Chef for a VIP First Class Airline Lounge in Terminal 3, Heathrow Airport, for a leading global airline.
This position is based airside and a full 5-year employment history is required ideally within the UK.
As a Commis Chef your duties will be:
• Preparing food for service, including breakfast and a la carte menu.
• Assisting in the smooth running of the kitchen
• Maintaining quality hygiene standards within the production areas at all times
• Ensuring deliveries are stored in a timely and effective manner. Rotating stock where necessary.
• Covering Chef de Partie breaks
• Ensuring that the kitchen is running effectively, and meals are prepared on time and to the highest standards
• Working in a fast-paced kitchen and work to set meal and portion plans
In return you will get:
• £11.50 rising to £12.45 upon successful issue of an airside ID.

To be considered for the role of Commis Chef:
• You must have similar experience within a hotel, restaurant, banqueting, contract catering, or similar catering environment
• Be able to commute easily and reside within travelling distance of London Heathrow Airport
• You will be required to provide a five-year checkable history and a criminal record check as part of the interview process.
We would like to hear from individuals that have experience as chef, chef assistant, line cook, commis chef, trainee chef, prep cook or kitchen assistant.
Successful applicants must be able to provide a 5-year checkable history for referencing purposes and will also be subject to the security checks and airside clearance at their own expense (refunded after 4 weeks).
