We are recruiting for a Senior Contracts Manager on behalf of a Grounds Maintenance Company based just outside Woking and working across the Private and Public Sector offering a landscape improvement and maintenance service.
The Senior Contracts Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations and have full accountability and responsibility for their full-service delivery.
On offer is a basic salary of between £38,000 and £48,000 (which is negotiable based on experience and current package), a performance related bonus, company vehicle, mobile phone, 25 days holiday and pension scheme. Longer term there is the option of career progression to Operations Director and a salary of up to £70,000 plus bonus and potential share scheme.
The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for:
* Providing leadership and support to the operational teams to ensure delivery of department objectives.
* Timely preparation and delivery of tender and quotation submissions.
* Project planning, organisation, and service delivery across all business areas.
* Managing the booking in of works and ensuring projects are delivered on time, to budget and contract specification.
* Managing projects and the client journey from point of sale to handover of site including ensuring any agreed remedials are completed to the client’s satisfaction.
* Ensuring the companies quality standards are maintained and continual adherence to H&S policies and procedures.
* Management of onsite H&S including the preparation and submission of RAMS.
* The financial performance of projects, including resource scheduling and procurement.
* Pre-mobilisation site inspection and surveys including risk assessments and site-specific instructions.
* The Operations Teams including appraisals, inductions and the efficient use and management of company resources.
* Full P& L Responsibility.
* Producing detailed monthly service delivery and forecast reports for the Senior Management Team.
* Developing and building a team structure to ensure sustainable growth in line with company targets.
* Researching and implementing new ways of working to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Building a network of reliable sub-contractors and suppliers to call on as required, regularly reviewing their performance and pricing.
* Managing equipment, machinery and vehicle allocation including servicing and repairs.
* Promoting the wider Groups service offering at every opportunity to achieve sales turnover expectations.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to demonstrate:
* A minimum of three years in Operations / Contracts Management within the Grounds Maintenance or Soft Landscaping Sector.
* Related Industry Supply Chain experience.
* Improvements in KPI and operational performance.
* Commercial awareness, an understanding of budgets, P&L, and new business development.
* Effectiveness as a Team Leader with the ability to motivate, develop and bring the best out of your wider operational, sales and administration teams.
* Direct experience of managing projects and resources in line with budgets and the practical, technical, financial, and qualitative requirements of a project.
* IT literacy with a good knowledge of MS Office applications and the ability to learning in-house systems and further develop these to best suit the business needs.
