Hours: 26.5 hours per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday Saturday)

Cook/Baker – The Role:
Our Cafe is at the heart of the local community and its location in the Appleby Hub is used by the community for community events, activity groups & craft markets to name a few.
We source the very best ingredients, whilst trying to use local and seasonal produce wherever possible to create and serve fresh homemade food, simply but skilfully prepared.
Due to our growing popularity and increase in customers to the Cafe, we are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and experienced Cook/Baker who shares our vision for local, seasonal & whole foods and passion for making quality food for the local community to support our kitchen team.
Key tasks will include:
* Ensuring the highest quality of customer service at all times,
* Ensuring that the kitchens consistently produce safe, high quality food with minimal wastage.
* To communicate effectively with front of house staff with regard to menu items, content of dishes, shortages, customer orders, special requests etc.
* To communicate effectively with customers maintaining a polite and helpful manner at all times.
About You:
The successful applicant will have experience of working in a kitchen environment and have or be willing to work towards their Food Hygiene Qualification level 3. Knowledge of related legislation and regulations and the ability to ensure these are implemented.
An Enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Right2work, T&Cs apply)
