Chef/Cook – 32.5 hours per week
An opportunity has arisen to join our catering team to assist in providing, managing, and developing a high-quality catering service to approximately 70 residents, guests, and visitors of this wonderful care home in Swaffham.
If you have a passion for catering; whether that’s taking the lead and creating new dishes or chopping and washing to assist the general preparation of the food – we have a position available for you!
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting in the preparation, cooking and attractive presentation of all meals.
* Most dishes will be made in house and home baked products should be available daily.
* Prepare meals i.e., vegetables, salad, bread and soft drinks for service
* To create nutritious, well-balanced dishes using fresh, high quality and seasonal produce.
* Create menus that meet all dietary requirements in consultation with residents, relatives, and staff.
* Ensure the smooth transfer of supplies, goods and equipment between storage and work areas.
* Safe operation of all kitchen equipment
* Be able to maintain good working relationships with all colleagues, residents, and visitors always.
* Provide regular interaction with residents to gain feedback regarding the food service.
