We are now looking for a part-time Cook to join our team on a fixed-term contract until March 2022, working 15 hours per week.
 
Your role
 
As a Cook, you will oversee our kitchen, café and Meals on Wheels service in Hanley.
 
Specifically, you will prepare a range of healthy, nutritious meals and snacks within a community setting.
 
Reporting to the Service Manager, your role will involve:
 
– Costing and budgeting meals and supplies
– Ensuring our Meals on Wheels vehicles are temperature checked
– Making sure meals are packed into area-specific individual boxes for delivery
– Recording daily food inventory and fridge and freezers temperatures
– Adhering to all Food and Health and Safety, COSHH and Environmental Health practices
– Promoting the service and increasing the reach to the local community
 
Interested? To be considered, you’ll need:
 
– At a minimum, an NVQ Level 2 Catering and Food Safety Level 2
– Knowledge of COSHH, HACCP, Health & Safety and Food Safety Hygiene Regulations
– Knowledge of budget monitoring
– The ability to work independently and as part of a team
