Customer Service Representative
Job Type : Contract, Full Time
Salary : £30000 – £32000/annum
Maternity cover role starting ASAP for circa 7 months
£30-32k pro rata per annum. Commensurate with experience
The Customer Service Representative will be part of the European Customer Service Team and be responsible for a variety of customer support activities for European Customers. Customers as well as products are technical in nature
Principle responsibilities include:
* Receiving, validating and following up on customer inquiries and provide customers and prospects with accurate quotations, terms of sale and all other appropriate information.
* Performing contract reviews to match customer drawings and specifications.
* Referring complex requests to the necessary parties, such as Product Manager, Production, Finance, Engineering or Sales Supervisor.
* Validating and entering orders with each manufacturing facility and regular tracking of the manufacture through to delivery, providing updates to customers during the manufacturing process.
* Utilising business systems in the dissemination of information pertinent to business. This includes, but not limited to S.A.P, M Power, Microsoft Excel, ETQ.
* Provide excellent customer service by answering technical questions on products, expedite orders and manage credit problems and customer complaints.
* Working closely with Regional Manager(s) to establish weekly goals.
* Participation as part of the Customer Service Team, attending daily MDI meetings as necessary.
Education and Experience:
Essential:
• Education generally equivalent to an Associate’s Degree in Business or in a technical field.
• At least 2 years associated business experience, including Customer Service.
• Working knowledge of S.A.P. ERP system.
• A good technical/chemical/mathematical understanding.
• Proficient in MS office.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Must have the ability to interact at all levels with the company and also with external customers.
Desirable:
• A background in the micro-electronics industry would be an advantage
30 hours per week. 8.30 – 5.00pm (4 days per week)
