Customer Support Engineer
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35455 – £42000/annum
Major GPS have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Customer Support Engineer to join a well-established Global business based in Leeds. The successful Support Engineer will develop new and maintain existing After Sales customer records and relationships using company procedures and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate new opportunities and respond to after sales enquiries from customers.
* Communicate verbally and in writing with existing and prospective customers to develop close
* Working relationships to assist in the growth of the after sales business.
* Interpret and respond clearly to customer enquiries received either in person.
* Communicate internally with all departments and generate spares and service agreement proposals for new projects.
* Periodically visit clients’ premises for technical and commercial discussions regarding requirements/quotations.
* Periodically visit clients’ premises to carry out on site service work.
* Plan workload and maintain close working relationships with existing service customers.
* Process sales orders and create order acknowledgements using standard company procedures and SAP.
* Adhere to standard company policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Quality
* Management (ISO9001).
Desired Experience & Skills
* Technical Operation of Containment and Air Handling Equipment is essential
* Previous experience within the Customer Service role in the Engineering sector.
* Technical knowledge of Freeze Drying Systems is desirable but not Essential
