Data Analyst with advanced Excel
Work from home three days per week and two days per week in the office. PLEASE NOTE you will need to be able to work in North Yorkshire on two set days per week. Please do not apply if you are not able to do so.

We have a unique opportunity for permanent employment in Selby. Experience in SQL is a bonus but not essential.
Working with experts in their field you will support a team with Management Information, data analysis and collating details for reports. The company develops tailor made services for some of the biggest brands in the world and this role is key in supporting them with information and data analysis.
Our client is looking for a Data or MI Management Information analyst to help support new work acquisition following unparalleled and continuing company growth. Your focus will be on helping to receive, manage and process client data, developing & populating import templates, refreshing and updating MI reports and working on data exceptions to address potential issues with the supplied data; looking for opportunities to improve or automate further. This will involve major use of Excel including lookup/pivot/composing formulas.

* Progress to managing your own projects independently
* Develop & utilize import templates, managing client data into these templates and processing within the business import tools/solutions.
* Review and manage data import exceptions resulting from the data import processes, including the coding of individual data row exceptions, and the management and maintenance of Business Data Dictionaries.
* Support the business and our clients in the development and delivery of more complex and ad-hoc reporting requirements where frameworks may not exist and data is coming from a variety of complex sources.
* Support the delivery of statistical information, interpretation of data and the presentation of Management Information to meet the needs of internal customers.
* Improve, execute, and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the business
You will have:
* Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills with experience in the provision of management information.
* Effective communication skills and the ability to effectively prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, responsive, working environment.
* A resourceful and eager attirude, to develop skills in programming and data analysis.
* Advanced skills in MS Office.
* High Level IT proficiency including extensive use of advanced Excel (e.g. xlookup, PowerPivot), constructing formulas.
* Skills in database systems and supporting languages; SQL, MySQL, Access.
This exciting opportunity would suit someone with experience in marketing, administration, research, as an IT administrator, MI Management Information Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar. You will be someone who thrives on working under your own initiative. Ideallly you will also have experience using email, databases and MS Office. You will enjoy interrogating data using Excel
