Responsibilities:
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
Assist in basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables and preparing ingredients.
Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the kitchen area, including cleaning work surfaces, floors, and walls.
Dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with the established procedures.
Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Support the kitchen team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
Valid DBS certificate is essential.
Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Excellent hygiene practices and knowledge of food safety regulations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects when necessary.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
