Economist
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £120000 – £150000/annum

As an Economist you will be providing a range of services to the wider business including cost information and economic trends to business stakeholders. You will work on a variety of projects and initiatives. These range from the production of economic research documents, reports, articles and media based information.
Key Accountabilities
* Economic forecasting; model specification and estimation
* Evaluate macroeconomic and microeconomic trends that have a direct/indirect effect on industry
* Prepare written reports and presentations to senior management
* Development, analysis and maintenance of corporate datasets and reports
* Supporting the development of new data-driven services, solutions and products
* Providing technical expertise, training and support to non- experts
* Liaising with and gathering data and information across the business
* Manage aspects of the economics forum
Previous experience of the following would be advantageous: –
* Inhouse / consultancy experience of providing detailed economic analysis
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain economic concepts and results, to non-specialist in everyday language for a business audience
* Ability to work using own initiative
* Undergraduate Degree (or equivalent) in a course that is Economics based, or as part of a joint honours program
