We have a fantastic opportunity for an Education Content Writer to join a well-established and rapidly growing education-focused member organisation that provides leaders across the Education sector with relevant and up to date content and information. This role of Education Content Writer offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits, and flexible / hybrid working (when offices re-open they will be looking for the Education Content Writer to make occasional trips to their central London office).
As Education Content Writer your main remit will be to create and maintain a variety of practical information, to meet the needs of school governors, academy trustees and other school leaders. Key responsibilities will include:
Support with a strong pipeline of content ideas based on a clear understanding of user needs, and intelligent decision making
Carry out user research, as appropriate, to better understand members' needs and how they use the company's products
Produce digital content in varied forms based on content roadmap and product requirements, following agreed deadlines
Research and write authoritative and practical articles to address the wide range of issues faced in schools today
Develop and write practical, bite size training content for a variety of governance roles, leaning on multimedia content where relevant
Develop and maintain specialised sector knowledge, and use this knowledge to make sure published content is kept current, accurate and actionable
Work closely with sub-editors to ensure that the quality of content meets high standards for accuracy and quality, and that content is consistent with tone of voice guidelines
Use qualitative and quantitative feedback insights to adapt both content and editorial approach to ensure content is as useful as possible
The ideal Education Content Writer will have solid editorial, research and writing skills, and experience in creating high-impact, practical digital content, along with excellent attention to detail. An up-to-date
understanding of education issues, particularly in school governance, would be highly beneficial but is not essential, as would having an understanding of instructional design and possessing some prior experience of creating adult-learning content.
