Well we are currently looking for someone to join our team as our new facilities operative within our engineering department.

You will have the opportunity to maintain site facilities both factory and offices, as well as grounds to a high standard, that will ensure site safety. This will involve office hours plus flexibility for evening and weekend work as and when required.

Another part of your role means you will be able to conduct various duties that maximise quality and quantity of the site facilities/buildings along with the grounds work that maintain local habitats and encourage wildlife.

Main responsibilities:

To ensure that all practices and procedures carried out on site comply with all legislation.
To carry out all tasks safely, accurately and consistently.
To carry out daily site letter picks.
Carry out building maintenance this will involve other tasks including but not limited to painting & decorating, repairs, drainage. 
Operate machinery safely and accurately and report any equipment and structural faults.
To carry out basic maintenance and safety checks on grounds equipment.
Participate in any communication activities through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas
Ensure that the Vitacress safety image is reflected positively through your actions.
Ensure that you have received the necessary training so that you can competently carry out your duties and responsibilities.  Acknowledge and accept a personal responsibility for safety.

Previous experience in building maintenance or basic carpentry would be desirable.

Job purpose

To maintain site facilities and grounds to a high standard, that will ensure site safety and enhance local habitats. This will involve office hours plus flexibility for evening and weekend work when required.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

·         Company Safety Support – You will be required to work closely with the Company’s Health and Safety team who are available to provide safety advice and support  Furthermore, you will be required to ensure that safety initiatives are implemented within your areas of control
