Environmental Project Administrator

Location: Stratford upon Avon – 80% working remotely from home / 20% onsite in Stratford

Hours: Part time: 25 hours a week (Flexitime) £10ph – Full training provided

We are looking for an administrator to help in the planning and delivery of our environmental education workshops for primary school children in Stratford upon Avon. This job would suit someone who cares about the environment, animals or nature, someone who likes working with children occasionally and is both self motivated and has a good attention to detail.

You will be helping the Project Manager to create really exciting workshops for children to learn about climate change issues and solutions. The role will involve booking coaches, buying materials, helping to plan the workshops and taking part in the events. It is good fun because you will get to go on boats, visit a real recycling centre and build giant cities out of Lego.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Helping to plan school workshops for a variety of schools

* Carrying out administrative tasks

* Contacting potential venues, helping to arrange coaches and buy materials .

* Creating and posting social media posts

Candidate profile

* An interest in the environment/wildlife or climate change solutions

* Educated to GCSE/A Level or degree

* Ability to use MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams/Zoom

* You will be required to be DBS checked to work with children.

Interpersonal skills

The role does not require any experience but it would be good if you are a good communicator, hard working with planning skills and an kind attitude. You will need to be willing to work outside 20% of your time, able to talk to small children and use your initiative. You also need to be self motivated as you wll be working form home much of the time.

Desirable skills

Any understanding of teaching, ecology, nature, biodiversity, event planning would be great but not essential.

This is a really nice opportunity for anyone interested in supporting the community or the environment, it is really creative and interesting. The role is part time, 25 hours a week, to suit your needs and you will occasionally have meetings or attend workshops in Stratford upon Avon.
