Ethical Manager / Responsible Sourcing Manager
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum
Our Client is a successful supplier of Fresh Produce to the Retail sector. As their partnership with their customer grows, they offer the exciting opportunity for an Ethical Manager / Responsible Sourcing Manager to join them in a key position.
The position of Ethical Manager will lead in ethical trade, human rights and modern slavery strategies. This position is of high importance within the business, with global awareness of individuals working to grow, pack and supply the world's finest produce. Define policies, Implement programs, Raise awareness and work as an integral part of the team to ensure that everyone working in the supply chain of the group is treated in accordance to their high standards.
Working closely with suppliers, this position will;
Manage the Ethical audit programme alongside the technical team & colleagues
Lead/manage third-party responsible sourcing audits such as SMETA
Ensure suppliers meet customers codes of practice
Assess current ethical sourcing status
We require;
Previous experience in a comparable position
Knowledge of;
Ethical policies; Modern Slavery Act, SEDEX, SMETA
Human Rights / Ethical Trade
International Labour standards
Passion for relationship building internally
Confidence and drive to build relationships with suppliers
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work at all levels with an approachable manner
Languages would be highly advantageous
Travel will be required, so a Driving Licence is essential.
Salary; £35-40k
