The Job Role and What we are looking for
•5 years experience of working in a similar role with a proven ability to run a kitchen
•Accountable for COSHH, Food Safety, H&S, legal regulations, environmental policies and duty of care to customers and colleagues
•A passion for delivering tasty and well presented quality food.
•Ability to manage the ordering, wastage and control stock.
•Take ownership, delivering what they promise. Love what they do & are proud of it.
•Work with a positive mindset, always seeking for better ways of doing things and enjoy working as a team.
•Ideal candidates will have head chef experience within event based kitchens or large scale volume kitchens. Will also demonstrate excellent communication, kitchen management and leadership & organisational skills.
•Proven working experience as a Head Chef or an Executive Chef.
Key Responsibilities
•Prepare fresh ingredients based meals.
•Create a happy and focused kitchen culture to maximise team retention, whilst motivating and developing the team.
•Managing catering staff on large scale private and corporate events up to 200 people, including weddings.
•Be inventive and creative.
•Be a go-getter with a passionate zest for life, loving hospitality and the industry.
•Have a exceptional kitchen presence, be an accepted leader and naturally inspire your team.
•General cleaning including washing up and loading appliances.
•Assisting with function catering including special events and societies.
•Ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary & food safety guidelines
•Proactive management of a large team, leading by example to deliver the outstanding food which has come to be expected by the company
