We now have an incredible opportunity for an Executive Head Chef to join us in delivering exquisite dishes that delight our guests’ palates. As the Executive Head Chef you will be at the forefront of our culinary operations. Your creativity, leadership in the kitchen, and expertise will inspire our team to consistently deliver outstanding culinary creations and exceed guest expectations.
Some of the key areas for this role will include:
* Develop and execute menus that showcase your culinary expertise while aligning with our concept and target audience.
* Manage the P&L budget for Carriages and align this to the strategic direction of the business.
* Have excellent relationships with our suppliers both current and new ones that are needed to be built to move the business forward.
* Collaborate with the management team to enhance and refine our dining experience.
* Continuously explore emerging culinary trends, experiment with new techniques and incorporate them into menu development.
* Lead a culture in the kitchen that fosters positive work environments that promotes teamwork, creativity and growth.
* Where possible, build strong relationships with guests, seeking feedback and adapting to their preferences.
Our ideal candidate will have/be:
* Proven experience as a Head Chef within a high-end establishment.
* Ideally a culinary degree or diploma.
* In depth knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles and international cuisines.
* Strong leadership, communication and team working skills within the kitchen and with the front of house teams.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities to handle a fast-paced kitchen environment.
* Understanding of budgets, cost control and inventory management.
* Commitment to food safety, the latest legislation and the highest hygiene standards
