About the role:
•To act as the customer coordinator of the reliable recycling of; Biosolids, liquid digested sludge, clean water sludge’s and any other related products / waste streams using the most cost beneficial route/s.
•To work effectively with the compliance team, the contractors and associated stakeholders to ensure the best possible customer service.
•Responsible for the appropriate management of all H&S, environmental and customer issues.
•Work as part of a Biosolids customer team to ensure full visibility and geographic coverage across the neighbouring regions.
•Responsible for the effective management and sustainable development of the land bank to provide short and long term availability of both suitable and sufficient recycling outlets for all the Biosolids products.
•To understand, communicate & promote the benefits of Biosolids to agricultural customers within training / regulatory limits.
•To work with all associated stakeholders in creating plans and driving actions to optimise operational activity in order to minimise costs and maximise sales income.
•To proactively engage with the agricultural industry and associated stakeholders, including the wider Bioresources market, in creating a strong and sustainable network.
Key responsibilities include
•Take responsibility for the accurate and timely application of Biosolids to ensure zero pollution risk, including conducting regular site visits, stockpile inspections and audits.
•To facilitate the end to end smooth and efficient operational running of delivery and spreading of product to customer, ensuring customer is at the fore front of decision making.
•To work closely with the Biosolids compliance team and contractors to provide excellent customer service and adopt a proactive approach to dealing with all forms of customer feedback.
•To create a strong and sustained network of customers ensuring the brand is promoted while communicating reliable, up to date and informed agricultural advice.
•To ensure health and safety is considered in all decision making activities, driving towards a goal of zero incidents.
•To ensure any pollution incidents are reported promptly and assist with managing the incident with any internal and external stakeholders.
•To actively drive the promotion and marketing of the Bio solid products to ensure the continual development of new sales opportunities for recycling, reusing and sustainable disposal.
•To provide feedback and action plans for improvement with regard to the requirements of direct customers, the wider agricultural community, industry developments, regulatory authorities and other relevant stakeholders. Activities include attendance at and running of local farm shows, fairs, conferences and monitoring industry press, websites, social media / etc.).
About you:
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have:
•Computer competence essential – the role will require regular use of GIS Mapping, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, BIO, SAP and the use of devices in the field.
•Fundamental to have a detailed knowledge of agriculture & farming practices, together with the regulatory framework for fertilisers, farm payments and the recycling of Biosolids and other wastes / products.
•Examples include but not limited to; BAS, SUiAR, Safe Sludge Matrix, RB209, NVZ. Regulations- although essential, training may be provided for candidates who lack formal training in some areas, as long as they demonstrate knowledge and understanding.
•Knowledge and understanding of the end to end water and/or waste water treatment process (desirable).
•Knowledge and understanding of anaerobic digestion within the waste and/or water industries and the associated outputs in the form of biogas and Biosolids (desirable).
•Familiar with the UK Bioresources and Biosolids market (desirable).
•Previous exposure to and engagement with agricultural communities and associated stakeholders (desirable).
•Previous sales / operational management within an agricultural environment (desirable).
•FACTS trained or qualified (essential – though suitable training may be provided to candidates with detailed agricultural knowledge but who lack the formal training)
•A full driving licence is required (essential).
•ASIS qualified or trained (desirable).
•WAMITAB trained or qualified (desirable).
Additional information
This role will be Homebased but you will be expected to travel to 3rd party sites across the Midlands. A Commercial 4×4 vehicle will be provided.
We are offering a 5 month contract starting ASAP with an excellent pay rate of £14.73 per hour
