The Job
You will be visiting customers with existing networks and products which will need fixing or updating you should have a solid understanding of networking and basic programming skills for devices.
You will need a consultative approach and a can-do attitude and fix problems quickly. The customers are high level so confidence in dealing with external stakeholders at a high level is important.
Key skills
Excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with customers and fixing their problems.
Experience levels ideally over five years with either networking qualifications in Comptia, CISCO, JUNOS, or a Computer Science degree.
The successful candidate will have an interest in coding and or knowledge of coding for different devices within the 1st and second layers of established customer networks there is no requirement for routing or network design.
The company will offer some on-the-job training however the successful candidate should be able to start work with minimal training as their current level of skills and experience should transfer quickly to the position.
The amount of travel can vary it is sometimes office based all week or sometimes you could be out of the office 3 days a week. The job is reactional to customer needs so it is hard to predict the exact split.
