Field Technical and Allocations Manager

Salary : £33000 – £35000/annum + car, pension
Our Client is one of the World's leading vegetable breeders and merchants working across the UK & Europe. An excellent position has become available for an individual seeking a new opportunity that offers a combined field and home based role, working within the specialist arena of vegetable breeding.
The position of Field Technical and Allocations Manager will be responsible for the production planning of seed potato varieties annually and managing a portfolio of certified seed growers.
Key responsibilities include;
Coordinating potato crop visits during the growing season
Negotiating contracts annually with selected potato growers
Liaising with Growers and retail Customers and assigning stocks to orders
Requirements;
Crop production exposure with knowledge of Potato cropping advantageous
Agriculture and / or Horticultural experience
Ability to work confidently independently
Positive communication approach
Confident negotiation skills
Graduates with a discipline in Agriculture would be welcomed to apply, willing to undertake BASIS training and qualification.
A full driving licence is essential, with travel required to Growers in Scotland.
