Operating from our client's site in Angus, the Fruit Farm Manager will join a dedicated and deeply passionate team where you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the soft fruit division, from planning, production, forecasting, and sales logistics. You will lead and inspire a team to enhance processes and efficiencies, fostering a high-performing, high-quality culture. Role Responsibilities: ● To lead and inspire a team by managing the recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management. Fostering a collaborative, productive, high-performing environment ● To manage and oversee daily business operations, including picking, packaging, stock control, and fruit delivery, while ensuring clear communication regarding forecasted pack figures to facilitate a seamless and efficient operational process ● To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards ● To maintain accurate record-keeping and conduct analysis related to crop predictions ● To maintain a clean and organised work environment by ensuring maintenance tasks are completed for all facilities and amenities ● To manage the irrigation and fertigation process, to ensure optimum crop yields and quality Skills you will need: Essential: ● Previous experience of working within the soft fruit industry (preferably with a focus on berries) ● Knowledge and understanding of soft fruit farming techniques ● Strong leadership and people management skills, able to inspire and motivate a team ● Highly organised with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills ● A knowledge and understanding of health and safety standards and industry requirements ● Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills ● The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously ● A team player who can work collaboratively across the business ● Proactive and driven with a passion for the industry and high quality
