Gardener/ Grounds Maintenance Operative
Pay Rate – £11-£12 per hour
We are currently looking for a Gardener/Grounds Maintenance Operative for our client. The work itself will prominently be in and around Cambridge City Centre area. You will work with another colleague who works for the company so will be picked up and taken to the jobs.
Our client would ideally like someone with experience in this type of role, however they are willing to consider candidates with no experience previous should they possess the right attitude to both the work and learning the duties involved. Relevant backgrounds would be a background in caretaking, cleaning, ground maintenance, landscape gardening, or similar, this would be advantageous however not essential.
If you have a UK Full Drivers Licence there may also be an opportunity for a permanent role with the company, again our client will consider people who do not drive, for ongoing temporary work.
Duties:
Regular weeding of beds (which will include weed killing)
Vacuuming of communal areas, i.e., stairways.
Seasonal pruning and deadheading
Cleaning of any glass partitions and inside of windows
Cleaning the site and leaf removal
Cleaning of Bin Stores
Hedge cutting
Qualities Required:
Excellent Communication Skills
Reliable and punctual
Polite and courteous to all clients and team members.
Ability to work independently when required.
