General Catering Assistant
Job Type : Contract, Temporary, Part Time, Part Time
Salary : £8.91 – £11.50/hour
SNS Recruitment are currently recruiting for Qualified & Experienced Catering Assistants to cover Temporary and ongoing assignments for their clients located around London.
Typically, we supply Catering Assistants to the education, commercial properties, catering & hospitality & care sectors.
This includes institutions such as schools, nurseries, restaurants, hotels, and care homes.
Schools – Monday to Friday (Term times only) Hours vary between 10am – 3pm
Nurseries – Monday to Friday – Hours vary between 7:30am – 5pm
Restaurants – Hours vary dependant on client (Must be available weekends)
Care Homes – Hours vary dependant on client
Responsibilities;
* Supporting chefs in a specific work section.
* Washing, peeling and preparing food items.
* Using a variety of kitchen equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
* Unloading deliveries.
* Organising the Kitchen.
* Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls etc.
The ideal candidate will –
* Be flexible with working hours
* Be willing and able to travel within London
* Be self-motivated
* Have a valid Enhanced DBS Check (Required for schools, nurseries & Care homes)
* Have Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate Level 2
* Have previous work experience in a similar role
