Chilled Pubs are on the search for 2 General Managers to head up our bar and restaurant areas based at our brand-new pub, The Bulls Head in East Leake.
Reporting into the Senior General Manager Phill, you will have responsibility of a team of 50 staff across either the Bar or Restaurant. Our largest pub to date, this exciting opportunity is perfect for an established Restaurant, Bar or junior General Manager with high volume experience who is looking to take the next step in their career, who is ready for a challenge and someone who can share their expertise to help grow upon an already strong team.
With a capacity of approx. (Apply online only) dining guests across our two restaurants, vast bar area and outdoor spaces, the Bulls Head East Leake is proving to be a popular business in the village and surrounding areas. We are looking for an organised, efficient, and guest focussed leader that is dynamic in their approach and can support the business in our strive for excellence….
Who are Chilled Pubs?
It all started back in 2007 when Loren agreed to Richards crazy dream, and they together purchased the Bulls head in Repton. Fast forward 17 years and they have a thriving pub chain, With 7 gorgeous sites, over 600 employees and 7 mascot Alpacas. Driven by their vision to become one of the top, leading pub brands in the midlands, they’re passionate about finding superstars to live and breathe their values and ensure all guests are truly wowed by their chilled pub experience. With no signs of slowing down, Richard and Loren are always on the lookout for their next project and would like to reach 20 pubs in the near future.
What the role General Manager entails?

Reporting into the Senior General Manager, you will be responsible for a team of circa 50 front of house/ bar staff and 3 junior managers, with responsibility of either our two restaurants or our main bar & cocktail bar areas. Regular coaching support for your team to ensure the quality of guest service, table management, efficiency of service and overall satisfaction is one whereby our guests are wowed.

Working closely with the senior managers within the business to look at opportunities to grow on our current performance, improve upon our team capabilities, capacity management processes to ultimately provide a memorable guest experience.

You will need to ensure your team are fully competent and confident in their roles. With the support of your management team, you will need to conduct regular appraisals, training sessions and performance management reviews to drive overall team performance and guest satisfaction.

Engaging and motivating your team with your own unique style of leadership, effective communication skills and on-going coaching support is critical in helping us ensure a happy team environment is maintained.

You will need to ensure the guests experience is a top priority, empowering your team to create an atmosphere of warmth and one that is welcome to all.

You will be responsible for regularly checking our GOS (guest’s opinion scores) and making any necessary adjustments to maintain our high standards of service.

You will need to work closely with the kitchen team on service times and food quality.
