We have an exciting opportunity within our growing group of pubs for an experienced General Manager to join the organisation.
Our pubs, based in the Royston area (North Herts, South Cambs), offer TripAdvisor-headlining fine dining and a very warm welcome; while one is a large family-orientated and wedding-licensed (200+ capacity) venue with indoor and outdoor bars, restaurant, function rooms, the other is a more exclusive ‘heart-of-the-community’ operation. Both kitchens have recently been totally refurbished to the highest standards, and we are now looking forward to an exciting time ahead as we reap the benefits of post-pandemic demand.
As a General Manager of the larger venue, you will need to be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the business including: P&L, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
Skills and Experience required
Minimum of 2 years within a General Manager (hospitality) role
Proven experience within a busy pub/bar environment
Experience leading, coaching and developing a team
Ideally have experience of working with food prep and service
Ideally hold a valid level 3 food safety qualification
Must hold a valid personal licence (min L2, pref L3)
Experience working with Budgets/P&L’s
Salary range: £39,000 – £41,600 per annum, based on a 50-hour week.
