Global Head of Portfolio

Taylor & Francis have exciting opportunity for a Global Head of Portfolio to join the team. This role is responsible for the strategy, business planning, growth, direction and commercially effective management of our Plant, Animal, Agriculture & Food Science portfolio of subscription and open access journals together with the leadership of a team of Portfolio Managers.
What you will be doing:
* Leads team of Portfolio Managers, ensuring objectives are clear, relevant decision making is devolved, and team are empowered and incentivized to take responsibility and achieve goals
* Mentors and coaches own team of Portfolio Managers to enable them to find ways to maximize their individual portfolios
* Setting and driving strategies for growth in consultation with the Global Portfolio Director
* Fosters in-depth and close customer relationships with subject-specific societies and organizations to build profile and position Taylor & Francis Journals
* Personal responsibility for the P&L management of own program of portfolios,
* Oversight of timely and profitable contract renewals,
* Builds and maintains a thorough and topical knowledge of market need and competitor activity in own subject specialisms, particularly open access publishing
* Keeps abreast of global changes to the process of monetizing content, to ensure program remains relevant, commercially viable and in pace with market dynamics,
* Deputizes for Global Portfolio Director as required and supports the activities of the wider team where required
