An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Greenspace Officer within our Environmental Services Team.
The Key purpose of this position is to be responsible for the delivery of a wider range of greenspace services, including day to day contract management and monitoring of services to ensure excellent standards, including grounds maintenance and trees.
As a Greenspace & Grounds Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for:
* Providing technical greenspace advice to customers, stakeholders and colleagues
* Supporting the wide strategic development of services, including reviewing and implementing policies, procedures, contracts, business plans and in identifying and preparing projects and services to secure commercial business and external resources.
* Provide technical advice on greenspace related enquiries, to include grounds maintenance, trees and ecology
* Undertake site inspections, surveys, audits including health and safety
* Design, support, present and deliver training programs for customers and stakeholders relating to greenspace
* Manage the operational delivery of greenspace management delivered in-house.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Be able to analyse, interpret and evaluate information
* Have knowledge and practical experience of greenspace issues, including management of grounds maintenance, trees and / or ecology services.
* Experience of successfully engaging and empowering operational teams
* Practical experience and understanding of undertaking, recording and monitoring inspections and site surveys.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* The ability to work alone and as part of a team
* A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential
