Ground Maintenance Regional Manager

Due to expediential growth in our business, we have an exciting opportunity and are recruiting for a new Ground Maintenance Regional Manager, who will be joining the South operational team focusing on the area around Swindon, Bristol, and the South West.

Job Purpose

As a Ground Maintenance Regional Manager, you must:

• To effectively and cooperatively work as part of your regional team to manage and develop a

portfolio of client contracts to fulfil the client’s requirements and within agreed financial

parameters.

• Responsible for ensuring consistency of performance.

• Lead by example to ensure that you protect and enhance the image and reputation of the

company as a contractor and a good place to work.

Role and Responsibilities:

• To be responsible for the standards of financial, commercial and people management within

your team.

• Ensure the team complies with all company and statutory requirements particularly to H & S.

• Produce account plans to cover client development and retention suggestions within your

area of responsibility.

• Identify and respond flexibly to changing trends in the market to remain competitive and

safeguard the long terms viability of the business.

• Develop and maintain effective and productive working relationships with key customers and

potential customers.

• Take a proactive and innovative approach with key clients at all stages during the life of the

contract.

• Provide leadership, motivation and support within the team and the company to ensure the

achievement of both business and personal targets.

• Comply with and set an example to others in relation to all company and site procedures and

regulations.

• Effectively recruit and promote the right people within your area of responsibility and to

identify the ongoing development needs of your team via formal and informal processes.

• Provide coaching for your direct reports and ensure relevant training is taking place within

your area of responsibility for your operational team.

• To manage all performance matters in a timely manner and in accordance with company

policies and procedures.

• Take responsibility for continued self-development via appraisal outcomes and other

methods of feedback.

• Lead or participate in other business projects as may be required by the business.

Relevant Qualification and Training

• Experience of managing teams in a similar role preferred

• Experience of working in contracting or maintenance sectors

• Experience of managing portfolios of contracts

Key Skills and Attributes:

• Outstanding communication skills

• Proficient with Microsoft office 365 – Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams etc

• Excellent organisational skills

• Commercially astute

• Resilient and proactive

• Full clean driving license essential
