The opportunity:
Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to work from their South West London based yard on a mobile basis, where a pool vehicle to use between sites will be offered as well as tools & PPE. The position is days, Monday to Friday 07:30 – 17:00 with plenty of overtime available for additional earnings.
There is a lot of training on offer and the opportunity to also progress within the business.
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative your responsibilities will include the following:
Undertake general grounds maintenance duties – ensuring a very high standard of work is always maintained.
Duties to include edging, grass cutting, weeding, planting trees, shrubs and seasonal bedding, pruning, small tree works, sports pitch maintenance and any other gardening tasks associated with grounds maintenance.
Responsible for the health and safety of themselves, their work colleagues and others who may be affected by their activity
Operate the full range of ride on grounds maintenance vehicles and associated equipment.
Undertake any relevant training which may be deemed necessary to ensure duties are carried out effectively
We are looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative who has the following skills and qualifications:
* At least 12 months experience in a similar Grounds Maintenance or Landscaping type position
* NVQ or C&G’s in a horticultural or similar discipline
* Full UK Drivers Licence
The Offer:
£22,000 – £25,000 base salary
