37.5 hours per week,
Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30
The Role:
We have an amazing opportunity for an Estimator (Grounds Maintenance) to join us at this exciting time. We operate soft landscaping services for more than 300 sites in Derbyshire.
As an estimator in our ground’s maintenance division, you will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in a similar position. A strong communicator with excellent organisation skills would be suited to this position as would the ability to think outside the box and deliver against set targets.
Applicants will be required to assess and or create commercial and local authority grounds maintenance contract specifications encompassing a range of different services and specifications.
Main Responsibilities of Grounds Estimator:
* Ensuring customer satisfaction at all times.
* Proficient in the use of appropriate IT systems to detail specifications and provide costings.
* Ability to assess, measure and evaluate sites and advise on services to meet customer requirements.
* Interpretation of plans, appreciation of site preparation and appropriate equipment all of which will require consideration for costing purposes.
* Compliance with company health & safety, environmental and quality procedures, and current legislation in particular when agreeing specifications.
* Keeping up to date with new and innovative systems, procedures, chemicals and equipment related to soft landscaping services.
* Client liaison including site visits and submission of quotations.
* Compliance with all existing systems, procedures, and work practices.
The Grounds Estimator will have:
* Previous experience in a similar role – multi site.
* Experience in the horticultural industry.
* Customer and employee engagement.
* The ability to show initiative and work flexibly.
* Essential: full clean driving licence
