Pertemps are delighted to be working with our public sector client to recruit for a Grounds / Estate Worker in Edinburgh on a temporary basis.
Role – Estates Worker
Location – Blackford area of Edinburgh
Hours – 36 hours, Monday – Friday
Rate of pay – £10.34 per hour
Duration – Until the end of December 2021 with possible extension
Immediate start
Successful candidates will be working on their own and as part of a team to:
Maintain the Pentland Hills Regional Park and the Heritage Parks across Edinburgh
Pick up litter
Remove vandalism
Remove and clear up fire sites
Repair fences and seating
Remove graffiti
Cut grass
Carry out general maintenance of the parks
You should have:
A full Cat B driving licence with no more than 6 points (a trailer licence is preferrable)
Experience in Estates Management
An SVQ in Grounds Maintenance / Estates Management / Greenkeeping (or similar)
It would be useful to have certifications for pesticides and equipment such as strimmers and hedge cutters.
