Salary : £35000 – £40000/annum

Garfield House Hotel is looking for a Head Chef to join their enthusiastic team in Glasgow.

You will have a passion and enthusiasm for food and are willing to contribute to the daily organisation and smooth running of the kitchen.

You will help develop and maintain a team capable of delivering a high standard of food quality. You will be responsible for training, health & safety, stock and department costs to achieve set objectives.

Working pattern is five days from seven with no split shifts.

About Us

Set in the village of Stepps, the award winning Best Western Garfield House Hotel’s food concept is to deliver innovative modern Scottish cuisine, using good quality, fresh ingredients. The hotel has a Bar Grill concept with seating for 70, which runs alongside banqueting for 180 plus two private dining rooms.

Required Skills:

Attention to detail upon completion of company paperwork with regards to H&S standards and processing delivery notes
Consistent preparation and cooking of all food to the expected standards and dish specifications
Excellent hygiene, health and safety standards within the business, which are followed and developed on a daily basis, including a clean and safe kitchen environment
Delivery of quality food at all times
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margin
Leading the kitchen team whilst working cohesively with the GM and front of house staff
Deliver quality food and service from both a grill and banqueting perspective.
