Smart Solutions are pleased to be recruiting for a Head Chef to join our client in Staverton on a permanent basis.
Based at a friendly village pub- which offers gastro style menus using locally sourced food and ales, the Head Chef will run all aspects of the kitchen.
Duties Include:
* Responsible for the organisation and standards of the kitchen and its items
* Producing a high standard and consistent menu
* Manage kitchen staff working below them, including management of hours and rota
* Liaise with suppliers and order all products in an efficient manner to maximise productivity and minimise wastage.
* Ultimately responsible for ensuring the kitchen meets all regulations including sanitary and food safety guidelines
* Being responsible for food hygiene practices
Experience Required:
* Experience working in a gastro or Rosette level kitchen
* NVQ Level 3
* Level 1,2 and 3 Food Safety Awards
* Level 2 Health and Safety in the Workplace Award
* Competent level of English spoken and written
* Ability to produce excellent high-quality food
* Good oral communication
* Team management skills
* High level of attention to detail
