Our client is a popular rural pub with an excellent reputation, set in the beautiful Essex Countryside. They are looking for an enthusiasticHead Chef tocome on board and lead their small strong brigade. This busy" foodie" pub prides itself on producing everything in house, using only the freshest local produce.
The restaurant is a local gem, using locally sourced produce from neighbouring farms and estates wherever possible, and game features heavily on their ever changing blackboard specials, when in season. They pride themselves on their attention to detail in all areas of the kitchen as well as the front of house.
As the successful Head Chef you will be responsible for all menu planning, stock taking and training. You must be passionate about your role and be willing to give 110%. The ideal Head Chef will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working at Head Chef level in a fresh food establishment; you will be responsible for high levels of hygiene control and health and safety throughout the department; you will be responsible for staff development and ensuring high levels of catering service and you will be reporting directly to the owner. The Head Chef must be highly passionate, excellent food cost controls and the ability to continually raise standards.
Commutable from the Chelmsford, Dunmow, Braintree and Bishop Stortford areas.
Due to the location a car driver is essential.
