Our client, a long-established charity is currently seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join their team. You will lead the kitchen operations at their outstandingly fitted commercial kitchen, which serves as a bistro at their friendly visitor centre.
Duties:
Assume full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen as the sole chef
Handle all aspects of cooking and ensure the delivery of food to the highest standards
Collaborate in menu planning and development
Maintain excellent standards of health, hygiene, and cleanliness
Efficiently manage the ordering process and build relationships with suppliers
Take charge of all relevant paperwork and administrative tasks
Requirements:
Proven experience in successfully running a commercial kitchen
A genuine passion for cooking food to the highest standards
Willingness to contribute to staff training and development
Strong inclination towards utilising local, seasonal ingredients
