Head Chef
Job Type : Permanent, Full Time
Salary : £31000 – £33000/annum
Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit an experienced Head Chef for our client based in Middlesbrough.
Working hours are 11am – 9pm, 5 days out of 7.
The role is working in a fast paced busy restaurant on a cook to order basis.
Preparing and cooking fresh food.
Your role as Head Chef will involve:
Hands on food preparation, preparing fresh food on a cook to order basis within a high volume restaurant
Day to day management of the kitchen and staff
Motivating and organising yourself and your team
Ensuring the menu is executed to the highest standard
Liaising with suppliers
Budget control
Managing wastage
Adhere to company standards and procedures
Recognise kitchen performance as the key to maintaining unbeatable food standards Highest knowledge of hygiene standards with attention to detail required to implement these in the work place.
The successful candidate would have:
3 years plus experience as a Head Chef
Dedication and passion for great food
Ability to work under pressure
Superb staff management and motivational skills
Be a a team player with the desire to develop yourself and those around you • Excellent commercial awareness
Previous experience of preparing and cooking Teesside's finest parmos would be an advantage
