In line with government legislation it is a requirement of the role for all colleagues aged 18 or over and working in care homes to be vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have a medical exemption.  You will be asked to provide evidence that you have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccination, or declare that you have a medical exemption.
Your key responsibilities as the Head Chef will consist of:

– Ensure full area of responsibility is clean, appropriately presented and stocked at all times
– Ensure thorough and up to date knowledge and understanding of menu and special offers in order to provide relevant information to customers and clients
– Be responsible for smooth operation of relevant equipment reporting any maintenance issues in line with procedures
– Operate the till point as required throughout service, ensuring correct procedures are used
– Ensure all complaint handling is dealt with professionally and in line with procedures
– Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures
– Ad-hoc duties to support the catering team and services
– Proactively managing and supporting a Food Production 

– Administration duties
– Conduct the relevant training
– Creating a platform for financial growth through cost control and culinary excellence
– Recruiting, training, supporting and people development to deliver an efficient, high quality service to Elior UK, customer and client named Nightingale Hammerson
Profile: The experience and knowledge we are looking for from the future Head Chef include:

– Genuine interest in customer service excellence
– A great team player
– Kosher catering experience is desirable but not essential
– Organised with the ability to work well under pressure

– Maintaining, ordering and controlling food stocks within budget
– Strong communication skills, including building internal and external relationships
