A luxurious countryside estate and wedding venue in the heart of rural Shropshire is seeking a talented and creative Head Chef, with a passion for fresh seasonal produce and maintaining high standards to join their team. As Head Chef you will have full autonomy over the kitchen and develop, create seasonal menus for the restaurant, afternoon tea, private parties, exclusive weddings.
The Head Chef we are looking for:
· Will be creative and innovative when it comes to developing the food offering
· Bring new insights and positively impact the success of the hotel
· Work with local suppliers & create delicious food experiences for guests
· Natural leader with a passion for developing the kitchen team
· From a fine dining background having worked to high standards
· Passionate about standards and maintaining consistency across the Kitchen.
· Liaising with suppliers and hotel manager
· Staying on top of food inventory needs, stocking and ordering etc
· Controlling and directing the food preparation process
· Ensuring all relevant H&S and food safety regulations are adhered to and managed
· Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer
· Being responsible for health and safety and maintaining food hygiene practices
