Job description
My client is currently looking for a Head Chef to join team in one of Oxford Health centre,
This is a great role for a chef that would like to develop and polish their great skills, as this comes with a lot opportunities to grow within the company.
This is Temp-Perm role
Pay@ £15 per for first 5-10 weeks. Successful candidate will be able to negotiate salary after that period when going on Permanent contract with the client reaching up to 42,00 depending on experience.
Mon-Fri 0700-15:00 , however weekends might be required in some occasions.
Job Objectives and responsibilities
Plans meals and menus, theme days and special offers to provide adequate information to customers
• Takes overall responsibility for preparation and cooking food for staff and patients in hospitals.
• Overall responsibility for ensuring that food and drink is nutritious and appetising. The food must meet patients' medical and cultural needs including, for example, gluten free, low fat, soft food, halal and vegetarian. • Supervisors act as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through training employees properly and adhering to company policy.
• Supervises, encourages and supports employees, ensures company standards are met. Directs the employees through their daily routines and interacts with customers to make sure that they have an exceptional experience.
• Ensures food is correctly and safely prepared in line with the HACCP regulations
• Manages inventory of supplies to support all stock controls protocols • Ensures compliance with all Food safety requirements.
• Ensures all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to. Takes reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and others.
• Provides a great level of customer service to all patients, staff and various stakeholders • Organises, divides, and delegates/distributes workload into manageable activities, dependant on expertise/area of focus whilst tracking completion levels to usefully achieve the desired milestones.
• Motivates and communicates, creating a team from a group of people, through decisions on pay, placement, promotion, and through communications with the team on various initiatives and focus areas
