Head Chef – Gastro pub
Benefits:
Salary: £42,000 plus minimum £500 in tips per month
48 hours work per week

Main Support Duties
Control and direct the food preparation and delivery
Lead the kitchen team by example ensuring that the same high standards are delivered regardless of which chef is on duty
Ensure that systems are in place to maintain the correct quantity and quality of all menu ingredients on site
Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in good working order
Manage all H&S aspects of the kitchen, maintaining a five-star food hygiene rating
Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience and make the necessary changes
Keep up to date with market trends
To maintain a consistently high standard in your department
Financial understanding of GP
Person Specification
Knife Skills
Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
A full understanding of relevant Health and Safety law
Able to act on own initiative.
Need to be able to cook from fresh everything.
Team Player
Previous experience in a High-End Gastro Pub
Qualification
Any health and safety and Food Safety qualification
A City and Guilds/NVQ Level 2 qualification would be beneficial.
