Head Chef – Viennoiserie

Galeta Bakery are looking for a Head Chef to join our production team focusing on leading our busy viennoiserie and patisserie teams.
This Head Chef will be a passionate artisan producer and ensure our quality and fulfilment are perfect on a daily basis. This hands-on role will suit someone who has led teams producing at volume and wants to make the next step in their career.
We are proud to bring the finest product to market and our pastries are no exception. We supply some of London's finest eateries, independent cafes, museums, and cinemas.
Our viennoiserie is the best in the market and we want to keep it that way – this role gives you the opportunity to work on the cutting edge of NPD, produce a significant volume and maintain fantastic quality to a broad range of customers.
About the Role
* We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef who is familiar with working in a commercial environment, particularly with Viennoiserie production of several 1000 units.
* An all-rounder who is reliable in following procedures and recipes in bulk, confident with mixing, scaling, baking & using commercial machinery & hand shaping doughs, alongside running a team and busy operation.
* You will be passionate about product coming from an artisan background, but also having commercial experience.
* Working 5 days across 7 days. Shifts will tend to be afternoon into evening.
Essential Experience
* At least 2 years' experience leading a section within either a commercial bakery or kitchen as a Head Chef.
* Expertise on large scale production
* A passion for good food and quality ingredients
