Job Type : Permanent, Full Time

Salary : £50000 – £55000/annum

We are recruiting a Head of Catering / Head of Food and Beverage for a client side role based in London. Within this Head of Catering role you will have responsibility for leading and managing the catering services for this public sector organisation, including the daily management of busy cafes, bars and restaurants. 

For this permanent Head of Food and Beverage position our client is offering, in addition to a great starting salary:

Within this Head of Catering Facilities Management position in London you will be responsible for:

Managing the day to day catering and hospitality offering for the organisation

Managing a directly employed work force including a Head Chef, Retail Managers, and a wide team of hospitality staff

Managing a calendar of events at the organisation 

Responsible for the budgeting and commercial management and ultimate profitability of the catering offering 

Driving sales via a wide range of marketing platforms including social media 

Financial management to ensure profitability and value for money for consumers 

Responsibility for making sure the organisation adheres to all legislation and policies from licensing laws, health, safety and hygiene. 

Responsible for providing  regular reports for the Head of Facilities, including financial reports 

Responsible for the Creation and implementation the agreed Vision for the organisation 

Full procurement management, within public sector guidelines 

This is a varied Head of Catering role, focused on the delivery of optimum catering in house services for this public sector organisation.

For this Facilities Management Head of Food and Beverage role we are looking for:

Experience of leading Catering Services, In House, not via a contractor (this is essential)

Experience of the direct management of catering services and staff, not via a contractor

Strong budgeting and financial management and reporting experience

Experience of and qualifications in food hygiene and health and safety regulations within catering

Public sector procurement awareness and experience 

Experience of process improvement and of driving forward profitability

A strong communicator, eager for a challenging role at a senior Estates and Facilities level within Catering
