Working Hours: Monday – Friday 08.30am – 5pm, with flexible working hours after 3-month probation

The Role – Head of Editorial:

As Head of Editorial, you will manage the day-to-day operations of our hugely successful Editorial department, taking direct responsibility for its output across content platforms including magazines, brochures, websites and newsletters. This includes managing a team of five and working alongside other heads of departments across the creative unit to deliver world-class content to our audience.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in managing an editorial team, and exceptional writing skills, preferably with a background in producing content in a B2B environment.

Responsibilities – Editor:

Taking ownership of all audience-facing editorial content and overseeing editorial strategy.
Managing a team of writers to produce quality work to strict deadlines.
Overseeing and improving house style, standards and philosophy.
Proofreading and editing content to a high standard.
Creating and maintaining internal processes to manage high volumes of work.
Liaising with counterparts in design, social media, sales and project management teams to ensure cohesive collaboration across departments.
Conducting regular interviews by video call, phone, or email and managing and maintaining business relationships through these channels.
Commissioning guest-authored content for magazines and websites.
Hiring and developing editors when necessary.
Reporting to the CEO & Managing Director.
Key attributes should include:

Multiple years of experience working in a B2B led media environment.
Experience of managing an editorial team delivering high volumes of work in alignment with company goals and strategy.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for process development and attention to detail.
Good interpersonal and communication skills with a talent for people-management, including effective delegation and delivery of feedback to drive continuous improvement.
You should be a strong leader and an exceptional writer
