Our client who have been offering excellent event & catering services for over 30 years, are looking for a Head of Event Operations to join their senior team. This is an exciting chance to be part of a well-established market leader who have a huge portfolio of clients, including several heritage venues in the UK.

As the Head of Event Operations, you’ll work on-site at our venues as required when we are planning and delivering events and conducting routine maintenance and reviews. The Head of Event Operations will manage the central operations team, reporting into our Director of Operations, and will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of our events business, working closely with our brilliant kitchen and sales & events managers.

HEAD OF EVENT OPERATIONS KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

Responsible for central operations, including warehouse, fleet management, CCG maintenance, and drinks stock
Ensure all events are delivered successfully and to the highest of standards in an economic manner. All back of house operations are seamless and proactively anticipate key pinch-points throughout the year; take direct oversight for the planning and delivery of large/complex events
Ensure the consistent quality of our events, including onsite training of junior members of the team and reviewing equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose
Responsible for gross profit performance, taking critical decisions for all aspects of our spend including casual labour, equipment hire, disposables, etc.
Act as a key operational point of contact for venue stakeholders, being seen as a responsive, proactive and trusted partner, ensuring we continue to surpass expectations
Help ensure compliance at all sites with venue-specific rules and truly understand the different requirements of the sensitive and delicate buildings in which we operate
Support our operations director and head chef in ensuring that food safety, health & safety and licensing requirements are met without fail on all our events
Responsible for facilities, taking a proactive and holistic view to maintain our equipment to the standards needed
EXPERIENCED REQUIRED:

Hands-on and a willing part of the operations team who will roll their sleeves up, "no job is too small".
Superb manager developing junior staff, being proactive and attentive & attending events.
Multi-tasker, able to work across multiple sites and deal with hundreds of events per year, even on weekends.
Excellent & presentable communicator, making sure that everyone knows what is going on;
Down-to-earth, approachable and a superb team player – we are a small friendly business and like to get along together!
Event catering experience is essential.
The right candidate will likely have been an Operations Manager, General Manager or similar.
