Salary : £32000 – £34000/annum

Your role as "Pastry Chef" will be to support the kitchen operation, providing a high level service at all times.

• To have a good knowledge of all hotel facilities and services.
• To manage the Pastry section in preparation and production of food items required for each service/function following instruction in regard to methods used to ensure that all food is prepared on time and to a high standard.
• To adhere to Company core standards for the production of all pastry items.
• To work with the Head Chef in preparation for new pastry items to be offered to guests within the dining room and conference/banqueting functions.
• To work in a clean, hygienic manner and help maintain equipment in clean, sanitary working to help avoid any problems regarding kitchen hygiene and clean items of equipment/utensil as directed by supervisor to help maintain an acceptable standard of kitchen and equipment cleanliness.
• To ensure all food is stored to conform with current and Company hygiene regulations.
• To have a thorough knowledge of menus being served in various food outlets and familiarise themselves with the preparation/service of food items produced in the hotel under guidance of senior staff to learn and progress as a member of the kitchen brigade.
• To assist the Executive Head Chef in the planning and costing of new menus as appropriate.
• To avoid undue waste/spoilage to help ensure overall profitability to pre-determined targets set by senior chefs.

• To understand Company requirements regarding health and safety policy, COSHH, fire and bomb procedures.
• To report any irregularities, defects or damage of equipment or facilities to Management immediately.
• To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management
