Hire Desk Transport Planner

Jacob Rose is delighted to be working with our client located on the outskirts of Highbridge to recruit a Hire Desk Transport Planner. This is a permanent role which will attract a salary of £28,000 with a quarterly bonus taking this figure to £34,000.

The main purpose of this role is to provide routing and planning drivers work load.

Key Duties:

* Customer Service – answer phone and email enquiries.

* Organise quotes in a timely manner and set up new customers on the system

* Gain and maintain a good working relationship with hires and manage any complaints

* Book new hires, route service runs, reviewing and changing routes

* Manage stock availability and ensure there is enough available for pre-booked hires

* Assist accounts with paperwork

* Assisting other staff in the office when required

Key Requirements:

Good IT skills (Word, Excel and Outlook plus other software packages)

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to fine tune routes within the South West to be economic and logistically sound

Good telephone manner with high level of confidence dealing with drivers and clients

Office Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a break for lunch.
