We are recruiting for a long established family run horticultural business just outside of Kings Lynn, who propagate a wide range of soft fruit plants for sale to commercial fruit growers, plant retailers, mail order companies and amateur gardeners
Due to their continued success and development they are seeking to employ a Horticultural Nursery Supervisor.

Permanent position, offering competitive salary depending on experience.
Full Time
7:30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday & 7:30am – 3pm Friday
Overtime / weekend work as required during busy periods.

This is an interesting and varied role which requires the need for a “hands on” approach. The ideal candidate would preferably have some experience in the horticultural industry as well as previous experience in supervising a team. You will need to be reliable and physically fit with a flexible attitude. You must have a good eye for detail and accuracy as well as basic computer skills to enable effective planning and monitoring.
The ideal candidate will need to be able to effectively communicate with a team of individuals who are mixed nationalities. This role is primarily in an outdoor environment so you must enjoy working outside.
Key duties and responsibilities but not limited to,
* Comply with general nursery duties as required, including plant propagation, potting and weeding.
* Responsible for managing a small team of individuals on a daily basis to ensure that duties are completed to a high standard.
* Accurately and routinely manage stock control.
* Monitor plant quality.
* Completion of timesheets.
* Unload and load deliveries.
* Control irrigation systems.
* Ensure health & safety requirements are complied with.
A forklift licence and PA1 & PA6 Pesticide Training would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
Own transport is required due to our rural location and minimal public transport.
The company is a small, dedicated team operating in a specialist, fast-moving and expanding sector. Training will be provided where necessary and you will have the opportunity to grow into the role as you gain experience
